Taylore Gills, M.A. in american journalism

I'm a San Antonio-based reporter with a heavy interest in feature writing. I enjoy local storytelling, spotlighting those who are making a difference in their communities. 

Over the past six years as a journalist, I have reported on a multiplicity of topics. Some of those include mass school closures in San Antonio, Texas-based initiatives that serve primarily Black and brown communities, and the personal journeys of collegiate athletes. With bylines in the San Antonio Express-News, Women’s Sports Exchange, and more, I am looking forward to evolving and continuing to expand my network.

I received my undergraduate degree from Spelman College in 2022. There, I fell in love with journalism. In May 2025, I graduated from New York University with my Master's in American Journalism. 

I look forward to tackling more powerful stories throughout my career, and I do believe that my best days are ahead of me.
