Taylore Gills, M.A. in american journalism

I'm a San Antonio-based reporter with a heavy interest in feature writing and women's sports. I enjoy telling captivating stories about those in my community and beyond. Over the past six years as a journalist, I have reported on a multiplicity of topics. 

Some of those include mass school closures in San Antonio, Texas-based community initiatives that aim to primarily serve Black and brown communities, and the personal journeys of collegiate athletes. With bylines in the San Antonio Express-News, Women’s Sports Exchange, and more, I am looking forward to evolving and continuing to expand my network.

I received my undergraduate degree from Spelman College in 2022, and I have been chasing journalistic excellence ever since. 

In May 2025, I graduated from New York University with my Master's in American Journalism. I look forward to tackling more powerful stories as a local reporter.
